🌟 Archie’s Story (shared by his family)

In June, Archie — just 12 years old — hurt his leg on a day trip. At first, it seemed like nothing serious. Rest and pain relief didn’t help, and after weeks of repeat GP visits, physiotherapy, and growing concern, further tests were finally arranged.

Following X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, blood tests, and a biopsy, Archie and his family received devastating news in York:
💔 Archie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

Archie was referred to Birmingham Hospital, where he met specialist bone cancer teams and began intensive treatment. Since November, Archie has been undergoing chemotherapy, spending long periods in hospital, separated from his two younger siblings.

Sadly, his body has struggled with the treatment. He now relies on a feeding tube due to severe pain and reactions to chemotherapy. The family is currently waiting for a critical decision on whether Archie’s leg can be saved using 3D metal bone reconstruction — or if amputation will be necessary. They have been told to prepare for the worst.

Instead of enjoying Year 7, new friendships, family days out, and simply being a child, Archie now faces surgeries, chemotherapy, wheelchairs, isolation, and unimaginable challenges.

✨ Archie’s Wishes ✨

Archie has two wishes:
1️⃣ To be cancer-free
2️⃣ To visit Disney World with his sibling

A Christmas trip to Disneyland had been planned, but heartbreakingly became impossible after his diagnosis. This fundraiser aims to help make that dream a reality when Archie is well enough.

All funds raised will help ease the financial and emotional strain on Archie’s mum, Sammy, and go towards giving Archie and his family something joyful to look forward to after such a difficult journey.
